kerala mural paintings are dated beteween 16th&18th century AD.these pictorial grace of decoration art started showing magnificently at the temple waal,sreekovil, gopurams, and old palaces, painting depecting,god goddesses,mythological stories, incarnation of lord vishnu,siva etc.using 5 natural colors (panchavarana)red,yellow,green,black&white(the wall itself)taken from cut brick stone, yeellow stone,copper sulphate, neelamari-leaves,lampblack& neem glue as base for mixinng.
